Belanja terus sampai mati

akhir dari sebuah perjalanan
mendarat di sudut pertokoan
buang kepenatan

awal dari sebuah kepuasan
kadang menghadirkan kebanggaan
raih keangkuhan

tapi tapi
itu hanya kiasan
juga juga suatu pembenaran
atas bujukan setan,
hasrat yang dijebak jaman
kita  belanja terus sampai mati

duhai korban keganasan peliknya kehidupan urban

I would like to analyze this song using Marxism theory (a theory in which class struggle is a central element in the analysis of social change in Western societies.” Marxism is the antithesis of capitalism which is defined by Encarta as “an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and distribution of goods, characterized by a free competitive market and motivation by profit.”( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marxism)), this song tell us about people in urban lifestyle which like to spend much their money to buy something that sometimes it is not necessary but they buy it to raise their prestige. People who usually do that activity are the high class societies who like to “shop until drop”, they buy and use goods with famous brand with sky-high price to show that they are the high-class societies that indeed different with common society.
